Details
The “Mukhyamantri Atyant Pichhda Varg Medhavriti Yojana” was launched by the Backward and Extremely Backward Class Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. The scheme aims to encourage academic excellence among students belonging to extremely backward classes. A one-time financial incentive is provided to students who have passed the 10th class (Matric) examination in the first division from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).
Benefits
- A one-time scholarship of ₹10,000/- is provided per student.
Note: Payment will be made via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the beneficiary’s bank account.
Eligibility
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Bihar.
- The applicant should be a student.
- The applicant should belong to the Extremely Backward Class (BC-I) category.
- The applicant should have passed the 10th class (Matric) examination in the first division from the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna.
Application Process (Offline)
Application Process:
- The eligible students may contact their respective schools and ensure the availability of required documents such as a caste certificate, mark sheet, Aadhaar card, etc.
- The Bihar School Examination Board provides the list of eligible students to the Education Department.
- Documents and identity of eligible students are verified by the concerned authorities.
- The authorized officer of the Education Department verifies and approves the disbursement.
